All employees in customer facing roles have a comprehensive induction into the business upon joining, and further training and development opportunities related to their role are made available to them to help improve their skills and ensure they continue to learn and develop.

We have an internal 'Launch Pad' programme available for our top performing colleagues keen to develop their career into Management. The programme gives our future leaders the behavioural and technical skills needed to be successful in potential roles, whilst gaining evidence of tasks completed, as well as an Apprenticeship in Management.


In the last 12 months, over 50 people have been promoted or moved departments to enhance their development.


“I started as a Customer Consultant in the call centre 5 years ago. I identified  a role in Learning and Development as the Co-ordinator and spent 2 years in this role. I also identified some other opportunities in the organisation that I was interested in and I was offered a secondment in HR and was given the opportunity to complete my CIPD level 3 qualification. During all my years at the company I volunteered to run and organise events for our employee forum and facilitated the running of this group for 3 years. I was given the opportunity to attend courses to develop my skills, and worked on various business initiatives that gave me the required knowledge and experiences to pursue a role as the Internal Communications Officer".

We will recognise and reward your positive behaviours and performance through various individual and team bonus schemes and incentives, and all colleagues and teams have the opportunity to be rewarded on a monthly basis for outstanding performance and customer service via our Colleague Award & Recognition Scheme.

Our Colleague Award & Recognition Scheme (CARS) exists to recognise all our top performers for their achievements so that every employee in every department is motivated to deliver superior performance in line with our ETHICAL values. CARS enables you to send and receive Thank You messages, make Star or Team of the Month nominations, upload great customer feedback, make Customer Focus nominations, and earn CARS points and prizes.

Community & Charity Activities

Each year, our employees pick a charity that they would like to support, and throughout the year our Employee Forum organises fun and engaging events, such as dress down days, bake sales, raffles and friendly inter-department competitions in order to create an enjoyable working environment and raise money for our charity. Last year our employees raised £7453 for the Make a Wish Foundation, £5650 for Alzheimer’s Society and £4277 for Chestnut Tree House, and the company then matched these amounts!

Additionally, each employee is given one day to take part in our Working in the Community activities – they have the option of going out to a local school and running a game CCM developed called Skills 4 Bills that teaches children about financial commitments and decisions they will face during their lives, making them aware of the consequences of debt, or they can volunteer at the RSPCA, Spadeworks, Dog’s Trust or Chestnut Tree House.
